Only two hours from Arlanda you will find this hideaway of nature experiances and adventure.
We who live here are proud of our region and want to give you the opportunity to experience what many miss. Färnebofjärden National Park is lined by living countryside. In the midst of Dalälven meet the four provinces of Dalarna, Västmanland, Uppland and Gästrikland. Along the roads are hiding treasures you did not know existed . Here is live old shielings with overnight accommodations, fine sandy beaches, museums and cultural buildings, cafes and craft stalls . How about riding on Icelandic horses, or a session on the tennis court? Perhaps a quiet evening at the fishing grounds, or a walk along the pram friendly boardwalks in the wetland?
Now there is a free bicycle and kayaking map with exciting destinations around Färnebofjärden and Bysjön. You can find it at the tourist offices in Avesta, Sala and Heby, at Naturum in Gysinge, in grocery stores, campsites and at several other places in our area.
